NEWARK: A funeral service for Mary F. Whyde, 85, of Newark, Ohio, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Sept 12, 2012 at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Foulk officiating. Interment will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Whyde, a retired billing clerk for B & L Motor Freight, passed away October 8, 2012 at Arlington Care Center.
She was born October 23, 1926 in Duncan Falls, Ohio, (Muskingum County) the daughter of the late Hugh and Wilma (Roberts) Paisley.
She graduated from Belle Valley High School.
She was a member of Marne United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Mary married Joseph L. Whyde on June 11, 1965. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2005.
Mrs. Whyde is survived by: a daughter - Patricia (Walter) Mockus of Lehigh Acres, Florida; a step-son - David (Jane) Whyde of Harbor Hills, Ohio; a step-daughter - Kathleen (Bill) Ryan of Deltona, Florida; two brothers - Loren Paisley and Robert Paisley of Newark, Ohio and nine grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Whyde was also preceded in death by a daughter Paula Kay LaGrange, and two sisters - Dorothy Titko and Margaret Adams.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
