Edward Reynolds Wiber married Anna Kaercher March 25 1899 in Rolla MO

His father: George Edward Bounds, Sr., East St. Louis MO
Born, Feb 2 1898. Died, Nov 1977 Tampa FL
Wife Edna Elizabeth Wiber
His nickname is "Pucker." He worked at a newspaper in Hannibal in 1921-24. I suspect there is more family info on Bounds available at the Hannibal library. This newspaper (Hannibal Courier Post) is no longer published. He was the advertising manager for the St Louis Times in 1931-32.
Graduated from East St. Louis High School
Enlisted in Marines 1917. Gen LeJune signed his appointment to corporal.
He lived in University City MO in 1949.
He lived at 22 Ellisworth Lane, St. Louis MO 1950

Edna's father: Edward Reynolds Wiber, who was the official photographer for the St Louis Star for years. He is buried in Mount Hope Cemetary. Edward Wiber married Anna Kaercher March 25 1899 in Rolla MO (I have an original marriage document to verify this date and the spelling)
Edward was 61 at death.
Edward Reynolds Wiber's maternal grand mother's maiden name may be Maisel.
Edna's mother: Anna Elizabeth Kaercher Wiber
------Possible sister to Edna: Margaret Wiber
------Mrs. Jane Stephenson, both believed to be from St. Clair MO.

Also suspect that a lot of this family info may be in the Hannibal/St Louis newpapers at that time. Just have not been able to get up there for research.

I am George Bounds, Sr.' granddaughter.
Does anyone have a link to this? Debby

Dear Nicole,
My name is George Bisbee and am a descendent of the Friesenheim Hertensteins. I have a distant cousin that lives in Lahr (Modern-day city originally call Kippenheim). She has sent me information on my branch of the Hertensteins. One of the pages she sent me included the information on Johannes Hertenstein who married Katharina Elisabeth Wiber. The children listed were: 1. Johannes b.13 Jul 1769 d.28 Aug 1831; 2. Johann Georg b. 9 Oct 1772; 3. Johannes d. 10 Jun 1774; 4. Johannes b. 22 Jan 1776. I am back to 1764 in England, but cannot make the jump with postive proof to France or Germany. There are a few others also doing Wiber research.

I see Dan has answered you query. We are cousins, both doing Wiber research in St. Louis, Missouri. I agree with Dan's findings, I also believe Edward R. Wiber, was a photographer for the "St. Louis Star Times", which was a newspaper in St. Louis, that went out ot business in the 1960's. I also believe my aunt, born in 1910 may have worked for Edward, doing photo retouching.

Debbie:

I have been doing Wiber research in the St. Louis area for a little over a year now.

From the information you gave, here is where I believe Edward Wiber fits into the picture.

John R. Wiber (Feb. 19, 1847 - April 16, 1918)
m.
Anna Mullen (April, 1853 - Jan 03, 1921)

they had 7 children

1. EDWARD WIBER (1873 - ?)
6. Susan Wiber (1875 - ?)
7. John Wiber (1880 - ?)

I have information "above and below" this on the tree if you want to share research.

Thanks -- Dan
