Am looking for information regarding a Wicks family in OH that originally came from NY. My direct line is Jane Wicks, born Jan 1815, Utica, NY. I found her on the 1860 census in Painsville, OH with an Alexander Wicks- born about 1827 NY, and his mother Mary E. I am thinkging (hoping) that this is her brother and her mother, but have been unable to locate any more information about the family. I found Alex's wife on the 1870 census living with my Jane and her family, so I am assuming both Alex and Mary died at that time. Any of this sound familiar to your lines?
