Seeking information on the ship which carried David Wickliffe to America. I have read the following:
"David Wickliffe came from England to St. Mary's Colony, Maryland, on the "Evelyn" in 1635, and then was a member of the Assembly, Prince George County, Maryland, 1636-1643. He lived in "Wyckliffe Manor" in St. George's Parish."
However, I can find no record of a ship "Evelyn." there was an expedition to St. Mary's Colony led by a man named Evelyn, which may have included Wickliffe, but I cannot locate info about the ship on which he arrived. Any leads appreciated.
