My grandmother,Theresa Weiland, married Frederick Hagendorfer. She had a sister, Katherine Weiland, that married Ardrey Voil Mc Guire on Jan.28,1921. The other sisters were Anna,Mary, and Veronica. There was one brother named Frank George. He was born March 13,1899 in Hungary. He died in Chicago,Illinois on April 23,1973. The parents, Jacob Weiland and Veronica Meyer-Weiland came to the U.S. about 1907. Frank's wife name was Helen. I do know they had at least 7 children. That information came off a prayer-burial card. Also,he was buried from Mt. Carmel Church.

Wieland family of Endersbach, Rems-Murr-Kreis, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany

I am planning to visit the town of my Wieland ancestors, Endersbach in Rems-Murr-Kreis, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. I would love to find out some places were the family lived and worked (this would be prior to their emigration to Australia in 1864.) I am particularly interested in Wilhelm Gottlieb Wieland (married to Friederike Krieger) or his father Johannes Wieland who I think worked in the vineyards.
I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of “Marion Denton Wieland, age 17, Mrs. H. Wieland – 4 yrs. younger than Nellie L. Renne”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in about 1890, in Elgin (Kane Co.) With them was son Earl, 8; Harry’s sister in law, Florence Denton, born Nov 1873; and a boarder Allen Renne, born Jan 1879.

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Marion Denton Wieland.

Anna Josephine Higgins Wieland

Hi, everybody. I seek descendants of Anna Josephine Higgins Wieland, my great-aunt. Anna's parents were Michael Francis Higgins (1854-1921) and Anne Josephine Keyes (1860-1885). The family lived in Hudson, NY but moved to New York City about 1885. There were six children in the family: William Owen (1886-1946), Edward Lawrence (my grandfather, 1892-1954), and Anna Josephine (1895-???). Three other children (a Maurice and 2 Catherines) died in infancy. Anna married Otto J. Wieland in 1927. They had at least one son, Richard.

I would like to get in touch with anyone connected with Anna in the hopes that we can discuss swapping copies of old family photos, memorabilia, newspaper clippings, etc. I have TONS of stuff that my grandfather saved. Please contact me if you have a connection here. Thank you! -- Clare Higgins
Louise Hasdorff Wieland and Carl Wieland of Texas

I found my great Aunt Louise and Carl Wieland in the 1900 Comal County Census. It shows Carl's birth month and year as Oct. 1851 and Louise's as Jan. 1877. It listed their children as George(1885), Richard(1888), Minnie(1890) and Scharlotte(1892). The children were Carl's from a previous marriage to a Emilie Werner. Her death date is unknown. The 1900 Census listed my Aunt Louise as having no children. She died on November 9, 1919 and there was no children of her own listed. It seems she never had children of her own. It also listed Louise and Carl as being married for 4 years.

I found postings of Carl Wieland daughter's married names. Minnie or Wilhelmina was married to a Julius Stahl, she died in 1981 and Sharlotte or Charlotte was married to a Ernst Vogel.

Any other information about my Aunt Louise would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Ron Hesdorff
tylerfh2000@aol.com
San Antonio, TX
They used the name Wiland coming over.

Siblings that I know of that immigrated: Theresa, Rose, Katie, John. John is the only one whose wifes name I do not know, but it looks like Agnes, since they also went to the same address as my mother and gm.

I also know there were about 12-13 children in Hungary, about 5-6 immigrated.

Please reply.
Thanks, Barb
Her brother Johann Georg Wieland was in America before 1879 but I haven't found him yet. Based on German emigration records I thought Johann Georg settled in the Lancaster County area.
