I am Kurt Matthew Wien. My father John Franklin Wien And Francina Homan are from Reading,Pa. My father has since passed. But my mother is still alive. My father was the only child of John J. Wien. I am the only son of John F. Wien. I never met my grandfather nor had my father had contact with him after he left when my father was a child. I have no photo of him just stories. I would like to know of him if you might help. Without saying. This was one of my father tragedies. thnak you KW

I'd be happy to send you what I have from my family tree, if you are building those branches. Both my grand father and mother (Anna's decsendents) are only chilren -- so not many branches. my email is slherrick@comcast.net

I would like to share my information about Amos K. Wein, my gr.gr. grandfather, with you!His daughter Emma was my greatgrandmother. Are you descended from his son Albert, or one of his other daughters Anna, Callie or Rose? Since I last posted a message I have found out a lot about Amos and his ancestors.

I'm a descendant of Johann Wien too - I'm looking for any information you would be willing to share! My research is still in CA in boxes until I can get it moved up here to OR, but when I get it I can give you anything I have as well. I know he came from Germany in the mid 1700's.

I am also researching the Wien, Moll, Reanor, Hafer, Allaire families for my daughter and her extended family.

Jesse's sister, Irene is the branch that our Wien's originate from.

Anna Maria Wien of Munsterlindenbach

I have possession of the bridal prayer book of Anna Maria Wien of Munsterlindenbach who married Balthasar Kilp on 28 Dec 1841 in Germany. She recorded the names and birth dates of her 6 children in this prayer book. She died in Wisconsin in 1892. Contact me for details if interested in this family and/or some of the descendants. Have you checked the records of the Faulkner Swamp church in Montgomery Co. It is on the boarder of Berks, I think. Anyway, at the moment it is online for free until Nov. 30 thorugh Ancestry.com. There are Wien's that belonged to that church. We are related through Johannes Wein born bet 1720-1730. He had children Elizabeth, Margaret, Michael, John, John George, Ludwig, Maria, Catherine, and Sarah. Some of these lived in Berks Co.

I can't help much more than that.

Have you done much research into the Wein/Wien family of Berks Co. PA ? I am trying to find out more about my gr.gr. grandfather Amos K. Wein who was born in Berks Co.His father was Henry Wein and his mother was Elizabeth Klein I think.I'm wondering if there could be a connection between your branch and mine.
I have checked the Wein message board on Family History and also GenForum has a forum for both Wein and Wien.

My Amos K. Wein was born in 1837 and later moved to Ohio.His parents Henry Wein and Elizabeth Klein were married on Mar.14,1826 in Reading. I hope your info does fit mine however the Wein/Wien is spelled
differently.

My Amos Hafer Wien's parents were Abraham Wien (b 1805) and Sarah Hafer (b 1807). I don't have any information on any of his siblings, but your Henry may be connected through another line of the family.

My husband is descended from Eva Ann Wien who was born around 1815 in Lancaster Co PA. She married Wesley Lloyd of Columbia PA and had three sons. Her father was George Wien born 1781, died 1834; her mother was Maria Smith born 1788 died 1872. They apparently lived in or near Columbia PA. I've been able to locate many baptismal records in books called Pennslyvania Births Lancaster Co 1723-1777 and Pennsylvanis Births Lancaster Co 1778-1800. I've not been able to tie any of these to George. If you'd be interested I can send you copies of the pages.

Looking for a Richard Wien who lived in Sinking Spring,PA back in 1969. He also played music in a bar called Wellers in Reading,PA I beleive. In 1969 he was 33 or 34. Any information would be greaty appreciated. Thanks Tina
