Jennie was Senja Maria Maki, and on the Pasty.com site if you go into Joyce Tormala's gallery, Just hack around you'll find it, She has an old Toivola picture that my mother and I have found relatives in from '44. Email me direct and I'll give you my phone number. We can round up some info and photos for you.
The Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock has stuff too.

Dear Eric,
I just saw your message that you wrote in February. It's very exciting to finally have contacted a family member. Lempi was my great grandma. I would love to know more about our family! Whatever you know would be really helpful. This is my first time back searching again in quite a while. My grandpa Ainar Ellis, one of Lempi's sons, passed away a couple of months ago. I'm very thankful that you responded thanks for the little bit of information you gave me earlier and I'm looking forward to hearing from you again.

My great great great grandfather Otto WIIDEMAN married Leena. They migrated over to the U.S. from Finland. They had 6 children (all born in Finland); Ida (b.1877), Matilda (b. 1885), Maria (b. 1888), Lyyli (b. 1891, m. Fred LINDGREN), Anslem, and Enoki (my great great grandfather). Enoki married Senia Maria MAKI(a.k.a.ISOMAKI). They had 6 children; Toivo (b.1908, d.1983, m. Ruth WEPSALA), Kaarlo (b.1913, d.1997, m. Esther WIETI), Saima (m. Ozzy LINDELL and Harold WILKINGS), Impie (b.1907, d.1907), Waino (b.1910, d.1962 in Los Angeles, m. Roselyn MARGOT), and Lempi (my great grandmother). Lempi married Peter Ellis. They had 4 children; Ainar, Peter, Rose, Elaine.

Dear Tricia,

I just happened upon your message and am delighted to read that someone has been researching the family. Kaarlo Wiideman was my paternal grandfather. And, if Lempi was your great grandmother, I believe that makes us 2nd cousins once removed(?). I'm not altogether certain of that, but perhaps that's correct. Kaarlo had two sons and two daughters: Charles, Henry, Francis and Virginia. Charles is my father. My mother, Sarah (Knuuttila) Wiideman, and my father still live in Michigan and they have two children, myself and my sister, Andrea. Both my sister and I live and work in Manhattan and neither of us, as of yet, have children.

If you'd like to hear more about the Wiideman family, please let me know. I'd love to hear from you. I also know a bit about our family in Finland, many of whom I met and visited while I lived in Finland from '91 to '94.

Looking for descendants of my great great grandfather Enok Wiideman. He married Jennie(??) Maki. They had four children: Lempi, Toivo, Kaarlo (Charles), Saimi. My family is through their daughter, Lempi's family line. She married Peter Ellis.
