I am trying to find information on my great grandmother, Charity Jane Wilbanks. I'm not sure when she was born or when she died. She married a man named Samuel Rowe and had three children, Andrew (Andy), James and Thomas. The three sons were added to a Cherokee tribe roll in 1907; Andy, the oldest was 18 at the time.
Samuel Rowe died and I'm not sure when. Charity Jane then married John Jackson Prater in 1890 Muskogee Co., Indian Territory (Okla.) She had three more children, William Coney Prater, George "Judge" Prater and Ella Mae Prater, my grandmother.
I'm trying to find out how much Cherokee blood we have in our family. It is said that Charity Jane was full blooded. But were really not sure.
