Your Richard Wilda (Grandfather) had a 1/2 brother - Herman Wilda (my husband's grandfather). I can supply you with Herman and Olga (his spouse) Wilda information.

Velma Wilda Haynes

Velma was born 8/31/1904 in Meade County, KY and died 6/18/1998 in Lafayette, IN.

Her Mom was Mary Frances Jarrettt, and Dad was Edward Haynes. I would love to know more than their names.

In KY Velma married Joe Swink (son of Granville Lewis and Emma (Claycomb) Swink). He was born 9/28/1896 in KY and died 10/1969 in Brookston, IN.

I thought maybe Wilda was a family name somehow. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Read your message today 7/5/02. My father was Paul[Edward] Wilda. I remember Norbert Wilda or as we called him, Uncle Bert. He was my fathers brother. The other brothers whom are still living as far as i know are; Larry, Earl,& Ray. I dont know for sure about the sisters. Idon't have a computer at home so i can only do this at work. My mother and I are looking for any information (or relatives) from the Wilda family of Joliet, IL.

My grandfather was Norbert Wilda, and he was one of 12 (I believe) siblings born to Richard Wilda and Amanda Kettwig around the 1920's. My great great grandparents were Christine Trecker and Peter John Kettwig (Amandas parents) and Paul Wilda and Pauline Sabisch (Richards parents).

Norberts sbilings are Richard (Earl), Paul (Edward), Bernard, Josephine, Bertha (Elaine), Donald, Ida Mae, Ralph, Raymond, and Lawrence. There may have also been another girl named Loretta or Amanda, who died shortly after birth.

As far as I know the eler Richard Wilda and Amanda were married in North Dakota and then moved to Illinois.

Any additional information would be appreciated, would love to hear from any relatives!
