While we are not familiar with Absolom, there may be a parallel with a Willey group that moved from N.H./Vermont just about 1840, settling first in Trumbull County, OH. We are assuming a family group of Thomas, Gilman, Woodbury Willey. We locate them later in Western Illinois and in southern Wisconsin through 1860's, BUT... the two sons of Woodbury arrived in Iowa in 1871 or so. We had assumed they moved 'on their own', but have just found several families linked with them by marriage with the same emigration pattern. Do you have any Jividen/Givedon or Easton relatives showing up?
