Family Tree DNA sample #113965
There is a DNA sample submitted under the Williston surname that is a 35/37 marker match to my name which is Willis. The interesting thing is that this Williston donor is closer to the line of Britton Willis(1758) of NC SC and KY than it is to the other Williston family members. In fact the variation in the DNA of 2 of the Williston members is so different that there is no way possible they have a common ancestor within 1000+ years. The haplogroups aren't even the same. I would love to make contact with the owner of the above listed sample. Only 2 possibilities exist. The Williston sample donor had an ancestor who was a Willis.....or I have an ancestor who was a Williston... the DNA tells the tale.
