Family of great-grandfather

My great grandfather was Elijah William Williston born in Canada abt 1846, By 1876 he was married, living in Sutter Cnty, CA with his first child. A sister, Ella, born in 1859 married a David Merrill in 1879 in Dresden, Kent Ontario. I believe David didn't live that long and Ella may have remarried or? Any information on parents or Ella or other siblings appreciated.
