Dan, is your John Wilson any relation to the Sir John Wilson mentioned in the 1654 Civil Survey and the 1618/19 Pynnar's Survey which gives his father as William Willson/Wilson of Bolton, Sufolk co; and his brother as Andrew Wilson? These documents also indicated that John had a daughter named Ann who died young (about 2 years old) and some, if not all, the land (2,000 acres in Ulster) William had acquired in grants during the plantation period went to Andrew Hamilton. My late maternal grandmother (Isabella) was a Wilson. I am researching our family history and found from the 1911 census in Ireland that she was living with her widowed mother (Margaret) in Dunamoy, Rashee, Co. Antrim.

The family later (possibly shortly after WWI (but prior to 1920)moved to Belfast.

I am hoping to make contact with descentants of Dr. Robert M. Willson, who practiced in Niagara and died on 31st May, 1875, and his wife Harriet (nee Williams). I am interested to make contact with anyone who may have information about Harriet's family back in Dublin. Thank you. Julie P.
