Re: George Adair Wilmington/Joseph Wilmington and others

I am Sylvia Thompson-Sheler and my mother is Mary Jo Wilmington-Thompson, born in Indiana in 1915. I am hunting her brother, Arlet Wilmington, born in Indiana in 1912. Their parents were Walter Wilmington (who has proved to be a dead-end as far as researching his ancestry) and Charlotte Golding-Wilmington. My mother is in a nursing home not expected to survive and her last wish was to find out if her brother is still alive.

George Adair Wilmington/Joseph Wilmington and others

I am researching the Wilmington family tree. I am looking for a record of George Adair Wilmington. He was my husband's great grandfather. He married Elisabeth Priestely Carter in Sunderland, co. Durham, England in January 1884. On his marriage certificate he stated that he was 25 i.e. born circa 1859, a french polisher, and that his father was Joseph Wilmington, a traveller. He and Elisabeth had several children and lived in various places : Sunderland, Scotland, Liverpool and London. Sometime shortly after 1900 Great grandfather left the family never to be heard of again. Any help much appreciated.

i am also interested to hear of any Wilmingtons, Willmingtons, (and other variants)

Thanks in advance
