We are looking for records of a Thomas J. (Tommy) Wilmore who may have went to West Texas around 1861. Worked on ranches/did cattle drives/worked with a Chris (Kit) Peppard who went to Kansas. Tommy went with him. There is a small town named after Tommy Wilmore, Kansas. We know that he left Canada at about age 14 or 15. Went to New York joined the Union Navy. We think he was mustered out l861. We are seeking information on his years in Texas
