William A. Wilson
William Asbury Wilson, 79 year old former Picher resident, died at 9 o'clock Tuesday evening in Miami Baptist hospital.
A farmer and carpenter, Wilson had lived in Picher for about 30 years before moving to Miami a year ago. His home here was at 201 B Street southeast. He was a member of the Christian church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Marie Holder, a missionary in China, Mrs. Blanche Mann, Independence, Mo.; three sons, Elvin [sic] Wilson, Yakima, Wash., Frank Wilson, Cornig, Kas., and William Wilson Jr., in the Army at Fort Bliss, Tex.; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Goodson-Durnil Funeral home.

Funeral services for William A. Wilson, 79 years old, will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Goodson-Durnil chapel. The Rev. A. W. Shawgo will officiate.
Wilson died Tuesday night at Miami Baptist hospital. He had been a resident of Picher for about 30 years and was living in Miami at the time of his death.
Burial will be in a Columbus, Kan., cemetery.
William Asbury Wilson is the son of Benjamin Franklin & Sarah Ellen (McGuire) Wilson. He married Nora Belle Smith in 1895 in Cass, Greene Co., MO. They were the parents of:

Blanche Gertrude (1900-1984) m. Mann
Elgon Lee (1903-1999)
James Frank (1905-1994)
William Joe (1908-1987)
and twins Flora & Florence (1911-1911)
Nora Bell (Smith) Wilson d. 2 Sep 1927 in Osawatomie, Miami Co., KS. She is buried with William in Park Cemetery, Columbus, Cherokee Co., KS.
