From Tucker, Gidean J, Sec. State, "Names of Persons for whom
Marriage
Licenses were issued by the Secretary of the Province of NY
previous to
1784, " Albany: Weed, Parson and Company, 1860.
William Jacocks Hannah Garrison 25 Mar 1779 (Vol: XXVII P 146,
p 201 in
Tucker.
Then I find:
(Worden, Jean D. First Reformed Church of
Fishkill 12524)
James WILTSIE m Hannah Jacock, widow, 20 Jan 1795
I believe that the William Jaycocks that married Hannah Garrison
or Garritson in 1779 was perhaps William the
son of Francis, Jr. and Maritie WILTSIE, bpt. Loonenburg 10
October 1757.
That a widow "Hannah Jaycocks", married a WILTSIE, adds fuel to
my fire. But I am unable to identify this
James WILTSIE.
Can anyone help me identify him so that I can determine if there
is a relationship to Maritie WILTSIE, b 22 March 1738/39,the
daughter of Hendrick Teunisse WILTSIE born 1703 Jamaica, LI, NY
and Peternella Van den Boog?
Many thanks,
