Henry Wiltsie, Nine Partners, New York b. 1748-1750

I am looking for parents of Henry Wiltsie, born about 1747-1750 in Nine Partners, NY. He was kidnapped about 1852-1758 and ended up in Boston. No evidence he ever returned home. He married Molly Millett and change name to John Coy. He served in Rev War under name John Coy. He moved to Maine and lived there the rest of his life.
Does anyone with genealogy from Dutchess County or thereabouts have a Henry born near this time with no other information?
He does match DNA with a Theunise Wiltsie, but may not be his direct descendant. Thank yo for any hints you can give me.
Gayle

Nancy Wiltsie Brooks & Hiram Brooks of Monroe County, NY

Tracking the family of Nancy Wiltsie, daughter of Thomas & Rachel Brownell Wiltsie, of Perinton New York. Nancy was born in 1824 in Duanesberg, NY and moved to Perinton in Monroe County NY ten years later. She was the eldest of 11 children.

In 1850, Nancy became the second wife of Hiram Beers Brooks, born 1805 in Vermont. Hiram's first wife was Polly Janette Northrup. Hiram and Polly had 6 children together - Myron, John, Laura, Abel, George & Sarah.

After Polly's death in 1847, Hiram married Nancy and they had 5 children together - Franklin, Antoinette, James, Esther & Minnie. Franklin married Sarah Saunders. Antoinette married first Michael Jumph and then Alva S. Conover. Esther married John Payne. Minnie married Jessie D. Ellsworth.

Hiram Brooks died in 1884, and Nancy passed away in 1892. They, along with many of their children, are buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Penfield, NY.

I'm very interested in contacting any descendants of Hiram and Nancy for my Wiltsie research. I appreciate any assistance!
Civil War soldier George B. Wiltsie of Pittsford, NY

While researching the Civil War veterans of Pittsford, NY, I came across the grave of George B. Wiltsie. George was born c 1837, possibly in Duanesberg, NY, to Thomas and Rachel Brownell Wiltsie. He served in Battery H of the 4th NY Heavy Artillery, and died in 1865 due to exposure during his time as a POW.

George and his family have been located in the 1850 and 1860 census records. I've also found his name on a monument at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Fairport, NY and in holdings of the Perinton Historical Society. I am very interested in finding out more information about George B. Wiltsie and his family, and would specifically love to see a photo of him.

Thanks for any help you are able to give me.

Villa was my gg grandmother. I have her name, dates and parents names (John Mills Wiltse and Henrietta Thurston) but other than that, I have no real information about her. I am hoping that someone will be able to make the connection and possibly tell me where to look for something more substantial. Also, I was wondering if the Roosevelt Cemetery in Schroeppel, New York has some kind of significance as I have several generations who were buried there.

Thanks!
Michele

I am seeking information on Phillipe Maton Wiltsie, b. ca. 1580, d. 1632, said to have been killed by Indians in a massacre on the Delaware River. Is he the father of Hendrick Wiltsie? I am exploring the possibility that I descend from Hendrick's daughter Sophia, who married Teunis Cronkite in 1679, and would appreciate any information on the ancestry of Sophia.

Thank you!

I've been looking at the DE BOOG/DE BOOGH/DE BOUGH/BOOG/BOOTS/ DE BOOTS with and without the space and with and without the capital "D" or "B' in the New Netherlands colony.

Several variations of DE BOOG can and do show up many times for the same individual thru the years, but VAN DE BOOG is uncommon.

I came across several VAN DE BOOG entries in the listing of DRC baptisms from 1639-1730 and I am trying to determine if they are another variation of DE BOOG or a separate family. So far no luck.

Would you or anyone else reading this happen to have discovered if there is a link between the DE BOOG [& variations] family and the VAN DE BOOGs?

From http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~rbillard/na_baptisms_1639-173...

These listings are: Baptismal date, Father, Mother, Child; Witnesses

1699 Feb 08; Jan Riggs, Catharina Boog; Hendrik; Jacobus Van der Boog, Susanna Pu

1703 Sep 03; Isaac Van den Boog, Hester Van Vleck; Pieternella; Jacob Saelmonse, Catalina de Lanoy * Note there is a Pieternella baptised in this entry.
Elizabeth Wiltsie, Dutchess County, NY

Searching to clarify information I have found about Elizabeth Wiltsie and her parents. I understand that her parents were Jacob Wiltsie and his second wife, Amy Snyder. The information I have managed to find so far doesn't seem to make sense. I have found Jacob with a birth date of 1757 and Elizabeth with a birth date of 1766. This is not possible. One or both dates have to be wrong. This Elizabeth Wiltsie married Nicholas Berry and had at least one son, Nicholas Berry, Jr., born abt 1792. Thank you for any help in "straightening out" this line for me.

They are in Canajoharie, Montgomery, NY in 1870.

Mary married Daniel Ward ROSCOE in NY in 1854.
They had three daughters: two of whom where named Sarah and Ida.
1855 NY state census shows Mary and Daniel are living in Frankfort, Herkimer, NY daughter, Sarah.
1860 US federal census shows Daniel living with his brother David’s family in Frankfort.
