i am looking for imformashon as well at a church in randollstown md there is a grave i forget the names but the grave said there last name is winand i am afrad that is all the imformashon i can give but we could be related my father is david robert winand but he goes by cj he is a hunter and wrights for bow hunter magazes and is on the out door canel every friday night

Hi John , Was wondering , do you have a conection to a John Winand b 1818 md to Rebrcca Emlet b 1825 lived in Tyrone Twp and was a Chairmaker . It is believed his father was Adam Winand and his father was George Winand of Latimore Twp Adams Co Pa Johns son Socrates was a chairmaker also , family members today think there may be other children . There was a mention fo a Thadeus Winand who lived in Berwick Twp Adams Co in 1900 was said to be a son of this family . Would you know anything of this family . Hope this adds some light on your family search .

I do know that there are some of the Winand family living down here in Florida. One in Sun City and her brother in Sarasota. It is very possible as some where in my information someone in the family did own a distillery. I will have to check further. One piece of information I have found is that my line came from around Cumberland County. I will have to check my records over the weekend. Thanks for the reply I hope we can help each other out.

I've just started looking into Winand ancestry. Mine were in Baltimore county, MD, 1900. Husband John born Germany, wife Elizabeth born Ireland. Children Louis, Thomas, Michael, Mary( married Wm. O'Brien). Distillers of Pikesville Rye Whiskey.

Hi Harry, I believe we were in contact before. I have John WINAND married to Anna Elizabeth HECKER with the following children Charlotte, John and William. Charlotte was born 1-21-1859 died 1-31-1910 The only information on Charlotte (also known as Lottie) is that the family owned a wine distillery.

My name is Winand Joseph Thomas. I was born in New Orleans in 1940. My mother is Edith Louise Winand Thomas. She too was born in New Orleans in 1917. Her father was named Joseph Winand.

I am so excited. I hope this is the same person. I would be so happy to find out that my father knew your mother. I am on my laptop now but as soon as I get to my desk top computer, I will scan the pictures and send them to you if you give me your e-mail address. I live in New Orleans and my father seemed to have taken these pictures when he attended Straight College (now Dillard University) in the early 1930's. What time frame are we looking at John. The Winand family I am referring to would have been in York around 1835. I am told they owned a winery.

I'm looking for any info. on the Winand Family. My Great Great Grandfather is Joseph Winand born in Alsace, Germany and died before 1890 in Louisiana, married to a Eleonora Waxman. His daughter was Louise Winand (my Great Grandmother) born in LA in 1854/56. Louise 1st married a Peter Verhoff. She 2nd married a Dangeville Beaulieu (my great grandfather) in 1886. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Belmont Heights Baptist Church with the pastor Rev. Frank Bishop officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Winand is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John Wesley Dennis of Atmore, Ala., Mrs. Isabell Dennis of Tampa, Mrs. Sallie Dennis of Tampa and Mrs. Kathryn Clark of California; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
