My great grandparents were Frederick Lincoln Foster Emma Stella Winchell who lived in the Syracuse Pompey, New York area in the late 1800's. He died when his children were quite young and they were later placed in an orpanage because their mother was unable to care for them.
I have no information on Frederick or Emma. She later married a man named Archie Leach (sp?).
Frederick Emma's children were:
Calvin Foster - 30 Jan 1889
Grace Louise Foster - 29 Jan 1891 Pompey, NY
m. Frank Henry Southard
Harriet Foster - 27 Mar 1898
Frieda Lena Foster - 25 Mar 1902
m. Emil Paul Roehrig
Bernice Elizabeth Foster - 11 Oct 1905
m. Harold L. Brown
Bernice was adopted from a Syracuse Orpahnage when she was about 2 years old by Mr. Mrs. Wayne H. Lillie. When she married, she and her husband, Harold L. Brown, lived in Chittenago Falls. He was the son of Fred Brown of Chittenago. Bernice Harold were married in Fulton at the parsonage of Rev. A. C. Horseman of the Baptist Church. Their home was on School Street in Chittenago.
