Norman Winchester
SIKESTON, Mo. -- Norman E. Winchester, 84, of Sikeston died Monday, April 6, 2009, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
He was born March 4, 1925, at Bernie, Mo., son of Fred and Ethel Norman Winchester. He and Vonice Slayton were married Jan. 23, 1970, at Benton, Mo. She died Oct. 12, 2000.
Winchester was a retired data processor for Missouri National Guard.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association.
Survivors include a nephew, J. Frank Moore of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bernie Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Adams officiating.
