I am just beginning the research on the Windley sir name of Beaufort, NC. I am looking for info on ancestors of Joseph Norcomb Windley b. Oct 9, 1895 in Beaufort, NC, d. April 1954 in Washington DC, son of Guy S. Windley d. 1913 and Margaret S.Bowen d.1967. Looks like the Windley name is pretty common in NC but I have not been able to find a GED file or good info on this line, or even this particular Bowen sir name line.
As far as I know, Guy Windley had 7 children; Joseph, Lindley, Marion, Richard, Robert, Mae, and Guy Jr. Do you have info on ancestors of this Windley line?
