George Edward Winebrinner was my uncle, my Father was Samuel Andrew Winebrinner, Uncle George was born on 13 Apr. 1892 in Waynesville, illinois, he died 27 Mar. 1963 at Decter, Wise, Texas. He was married to my Aunt Eva Mae Brott, they had 11 children, Orval Dean, Fredrick Hiram, George Edward, Edward Calvin, Glen Henry, Juanita Mae, Esther Mae, Robert Louis, Francis " Frank" Wilber, Mickey Ray, and Jerry Lee. His Parents were, Hiram Winebrinner, 1853 to 1919 and Caroline Alvira Eveland 1863 to 1950

I too am a grandson of George and Eva. Orville was alive at least in the 90s for sure, living in the San Diego area, retired out of the Navy. He was close to my mom up until a few years ago. I am called Dean after Orville Dean. I have a theory that Orval Deane falsified his record and became Orville Dean in order to get into the Navy at age 17. That explains why there is no activity under Orval Deane since 1937. It was no secret that George was not Orville's natural father. Also that Orville didn't get along with his step dad. I think that Orville going into the Navy was his way of running away from home. Feel free to email me.

Orvals Father was George Winebrinner and his mother was Eva MAe Brott. He is not still alive he was believed to have died in 1937 I am unsure at this time where. Any further info I can help with feel free to ask.

Oral Dean Is not the son of Hiram but the son of George and Eva Mae Brott the reason you guys may not be able to find much on him is because he went by Dean. I am the Grandaughter of Mickey Winebrinner who was Orvals brother. The only info I have on him really is as follows, birth: 26 Oct 1920 in Fonda, Pocahontas Co., Iowa. and death about 1937. My grand father hasnt been much on answering many of my questions. This information I got from grandmother who has lots of pictures and is a very reliable source.
Also I was wondering If anyone had any info on James Winebrinner Sr.

Sorry about that, it was supposed to connect to Garrian sherrer's post, but anyway here is the connection, my Grandmother, Nora Della Winebrinner m, charles Alvin Sherrer in Fonda Ia. on 12-16-1915. Her parents are Hiram F. Winebrinner b. 4-16-1851 d. 03-10-1914 he m. Caroline Elvira Eveland (i need to check the dates on their marriage.) Charles Alvin Sherrer is the son of George Sherre and Rebecca Hill. Charles A. Sherrer was b. 02-25-1890 d. 01-18-1960 (died of cancer) Nora "Della" winebrinner b. 03-24-1899 d. 01-13-1975 (many health complications manly diabetes) their children are as follows... Thelma (Sherrer) Lolling dates uncertain... d. of brain cancer, Erma Louise (Sherrer) Helton b.07-01-1927? still living m. Archibald Helton he d. 1977, Evelyn Irene (sherrer) Miller b. 02-11-1934 still living she m. Thomas Riley Miller divorced in 1976. Charles Everett and Uncle floyd I don't have dates for yet. Checking over your Winebrinner Board, I could not see
any references to this Waldeck soldier who settled on
the German Coast, just upriver from New Orleans. There has been an article published by descendants of Georg Weinbrenner in the 'New Orleans Genesis,
January 2002 edition, published by the Genealogical Research Society of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Since your Winebrinner name sounds awfully close to Weinbrenner, I thought I should let you know about this history.

This message is for Gerry.. I do not know who James C. Winebrinners parents are, I was hoping someone could tell me. I do know he had two sons born in Kentucky, James C. winebrinner jr. born in 1847 and Hyram winebrinner born in 1853. James sr. Married

Hyram Winebrinner is my great great grandfater. And his daughter Nora Della winebrinner is my mothers grandmother, Charles sherrer married nora in about 1919
but I am not sure. they did have 5 kids and Charles A. sherrer jr,?? is my moms father.

Has anyone figured out who Hugh Winebrinner is? I found him in a census book at DeWitt Co. Library in Clinton Illinois. It said he was 27 at the time of the sensus and that he came from "Germany" the sensus was taken in the mid 1800's. Something about he was widowed and then re-married to a 15 year old girl. He is burried in Woodlawn Cemetary I'm not certain why, because the rest of the family is in Evergreen cemetary in Waynesville Illinois. I am stumped on this person I haven't found any conections with him to anyone else yet.

Sherry, it just struck me.... you said Hyrum was your ggrandfather???? He is my ggrandfather too. May I ask who your parents are??? I have information on him, I even have his obit. I think. His Daughter, being my grandmother was Nora Della Winebrinner she married a Sherrer, My grandfather Charles Alvin Sherrer. They had 5 Children, My uncle Charles Everett Sherrer, Uncle Floyd, Aunt Thelma, Aunt Erma Louise Helton, and my Mother Evelyn Irene Miller. My mother and my Aunt Erma are the only two siblings living the rest are deceast. I do have dates but they are all at home. Sorry I didn't realize how close in relation we are. please forgive me.

He is not still living. His mother is Eva May Brott. His father was unknown and George Edward Winebrinner took him in as a Winebrinner. This was a deep secret that wasnt to be let out until Orval died. This was told to me by his brother at my fathers funeral 3 weeks ago.
