Re: William Winham

I am a descendent of William (born 1826)----- if he is the same one and I think he is----but, the death date does not correspond. William is buried in Grayson County, Texas with his wife Priscilla Peden, born Monroe County, KY. They are my great grandparents and I will be happy to share other information if you are still interested. Marcia

WINHAM Family Photograph

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Alfred WINHAM which was taken at the Sol. Young Studio in either New York City, Brooklyn, or Newark, NJ. The back of the photograph includes all studio locations owned so I'm not sure which studio this specific photograph was taken at. The photograph was probably taken in the early 1900's with Alfred appearing to be about 4 years old at the time.

I've attempted to locate someone from the family so that the photograph could be returned to them but was not successful so the photograph has been donated to the NY Genealogical Society in hopes that it might be discovered there, by a member of the family.

Thanks,
Shelley

Margaret b. 1798, NC; d. 24 Mar 1883, ?.
Children: 1. Almeida A. Winham, b. 3 Aug 1818 ?,d. 6 Jul 1844 ?; 2. Theodore A. Winham, b. 3 Aug 1818, d. 6 Jul 1844 (There's obviously something wrong here. I don't believe they could be born and die on the same date.) 3. Lilburn L.Winham, b. 29 Feb. 1820, ?; d. 11 Jan 1850, ?; 4. Marcus Aurelius Sylvanus Winham, b. 7 Jan 1822, TN; d. 7 Feb 1881, ?; 5. Elizabeth Ann Vandalia Winham, b. 17 Feb 1824, TN?; d. 8 Jun 1906, ?; Elizabeth married my ancestor, Andrew Jackson Martin, on 9 May 1850 in Sumner Co., TN; 6. William P.L. Winham, b. 10 Jan 1826, TN; d. 4 Oct 1890, ?; 7. T. Felix C. Winham, b. 26 Feb. 1828, TN; d. 1889, ?; 8. Mary A. Winham, b. 8 Dec 1829, TN; d. 23 Aug 1879, ?; 9. G.G. Winham, b. 20 Sep 1831, TN; d. 26 May 1886, ?
That is all I have on the Winham family. As you can see, I have a lot of holes. Whatever you can fill in would be great. If it's easier to put it on the World Tree, just let me know what to look under. Thanks so much. Gail.
