Buffalo, NY – Carl and Christine Winkelmann – ≈1860-1885

These two married in Werdau, Saxony and came to Buffalo, NY in 1860. Their full names were Carl Benjamin Winkelmann and Christiane Sophie Graesser. First they were in southern Erie County and later moved to Buffalo. He is listed as a carpet weaver.

Their surviving children were:

Hermann......married his cousin Hedwig Graesser (Hattie)

Anna...........married Ludwig Pfandhoefer (Louis)

Maria..........she died young in the 1880’s.

I may have an old photo with Christine Winkelmann in it, but am not completely certain.
