Surnames: Winston, Bates...
My ancestor Elizabeth Winston (1605-1701) m. John Isaac Bates of York Co., Va. Her parents: Isaac Winston & Mary Dabney of England. The Bates were a well-known family in colonial Virginia.
Does anyone know anything more about this Winston line?
