My Father Albert August Pahland was a nephew of your August Pahalnd and marie (Mary) Pahland.
I recieved some of Mary pahland's jewlery when she passed away

Winterberg is no longer living to my knowledge.
If his date of birth is 8 Dec 1935, ss# 538-32-6528,Gene's
date of death is 13 Feb 2003 in WA state.

I am trying to help a friend of mine find any surviving kin she has. Her grandfather's name is Egon Winterberger and as far as she knows he was the only surviving member of his family after the German death camps but wants to make sure. His parents were Kaufmann Hermann Winterberger and Hedwig Levy. This is all the information I have at this time... Does any one have a connection.

Cletus b. abt. 1915 KY
Melita b. abt. 1917 KY
Richard b. 1919 KY
Anna b. abt. 1923 KY
Mary b. abt. 1926 OH

Found them in the 1920 KY census and the 1930 OH census

Hope this might help anyone who is trying to connect with the Henry Winterberg that moved from Covington, Kentucky to Chicago, Illinois. My great-great grandmother was Elizabeth Ann Gedker and married a Winterberg -- they had a son Henry Winterberg. Gedker divorced (strange for the late 1800s)Winterberg and then married John Bankemper. They had Anna Bankemper (b 1-9-1873)and Benjamin Bankemper plus another daughter. Anna Bankamper married John Herman Tabeling in 1892. Their daughter, my grandma, Anna Catherine Tabeling Horst (d 3-27-99) always told of stories of her Uncle Henry coming to Covington visit with his kids/her cousins. That's all I can remember but it might help to look in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. If I find any other info, I will post.

I'm not sure that the information is completely accurate that is published on this board. Henry Bankamper married and divorced Elizabeth Gedker and they had the same kids even to the point that Anna married John Tabeling. I need to collect this info to be more accurate but I have several documents to put this more in perspective.

Allison: Thanks for the info on Henry. He may have been a cousin of my Grandfather Eugene Ivan Winterberg born in 1894. his wife, my Grandma was Dorothy Jeanette Mahr. Gene Michal was their son.
