From: Johnie L. Reeves/jlreeves@juno.com: "... Aunt Nov married, I reckon her last husband, named Dee Witcher, I guess in Ranger, Eastland Co., TX (sic). They lived there and she had one son by him. Gano & I left Bell Co. (over by where Uncle George & Aunt Jennie Ivey lived) and went out to Ranger, where his mother and Witcher lived for a while. She later moved to Arlington and was still living when Mother (Hettie Myrtle) died, but didn't come to the funeral..." (from 8/13/1980 interview by JLR with Mable Clara Spurlin-Stewart-Benoist, @ her home in Lampasas, TX).

Reeves/jlreeves@juno.com: "... after Aunt Nove married Dee Witcher in Lampasas (sic), then when they were living in Arlington, Tarrant Co., TX, she changed Jesse Jason Covey's name to Stewart. Then, by surname, Jesse & Gano were no longer 1/2 brothers." (from 2/6/1981 interview with S. P. "Pete" Williams).
