Alfred Witkowski, age 78, of Lansing and South Chicago, IL. passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2003. Loving husband of 54 years to Rose Marie Mrs. Rose [nee Bielawski] Witkowski. Loving father of Michael A. [Terry] Witkowski, Judith Witkowski and Joyce [William E.] Coffey. Beloved grandfather of Kimberly and Jonathan Witkowski, and William, Michael and Kevin Coffey. Son of the late Francis Frank and Frances Witkowski.

Brother of the late Vencel [Pauline] Witkowski, late Charlotte [Joseph] Pavelek, late Sylvia [Walter] Warzynski and late Lillian [Anthony] Baginski. Step-son-in-law of Helen Bielawski and the late Barney Bruno Bielawski, brother-in-law of David [Julie] Bielawski; Uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2003, 9:30 a.m. prayers from the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL, to St. Andrews Catholic Church, Calumet City, IL. for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Mr. Witkowski was a World War II Army Veteran; member of Russell Square American Legion Post #1006; retired from LTV Steel, Lan-Oak Park District and Lansing Crossing Guards. Please omit flowers.
