I am seeking information on Zephaniah Wix and Lydia Dibble who lived in Cornwall, Litchfield Co., Conn. I have a suspicion that their daughter Lydia married one of my ancestors, but so far I have found no proof. This is the general information on them. I have a little more information on the military careers.
Zephaniah Wix, died before 24 Jan 1777. Had Native American ancestry. Seven Years’ War veteran and American Revolution casualty. Married Lydia Dibble before Sept 1741. They lived in "the Pines" near the Valley Road. This location was also said to be near the clay pits on the road north from
Capt. Pierce's sawmill, in a clearing among the pines where the cellar is still to be seen.
