Tracing Dorothy, whom I believe to have been Dorothy STRINGER, b. 1916 in Caldwell Parish, LA, d/o James STRINGER and Rose WESTON STRINGER.
She had sister Thelma and brother Tonie (my grandfather)
Thelma lived Corpus Christi TX, md. Cosmo "Sam" DiVincenzo
Tonie was career Army from 1917 to death in 1931. Lived NY md. Florence Edna Armstrong.
Dorothy has been a mystery. HAVE PHOTOS of her as a young girl to share.
She is on the census with her "parents" James & Rose STRINGER, ONLY ONCE in 1930, at ae. 13y. She SHOULD be there previous, and after, but IS NOT, and I can't find her anywhere before 1930 or after!
Photos were developed in San Antonio TX. in 1927, though I believe they were taken in Clarks, Caldwell Par. LA, a lumber town where the Stringers lived and worked. Stringers orig. from MO.
Dorothy MAY have been an illeg. d/o either Thelma or Tonie, but is listed in her Grandmother Rose's obit as her own dau., as well as on the 1930 census.
SSDI and Corpus Christi Obits are sources.
Looking for any relatives from this side of the family. Lost for many years as my mother's father (Tonie) died when she was only 4.
Thanks!
