I am searching for information relating to a John Wofford, a Black man from Georgia. Birth year unknown, but died around 1917. He married a full Cherokee woman named Vastie (Vastia?). Vastie was among other Cherokee Indians removed from their land during the "Trail of Tears" in 1838. He had approx. nine children, at least one daughter named Ann and a son (name unknown) who married a woman named Carrie from Cartersville, Georgia

I will greatly appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you in advance!
