No, I don't put trees online as I know there are mistakes in my tree, and I'm continually correcting mis-information. I know how people believe anything they see online, and will continue to pass around the wrong information, even when you contact them to let them know.

If you just do a search on Ancestry, you can find death records, military records, census records, etc. You can go to many of the states websites, and get a lot of information. You can go to the local LDS church/library and get a lot of information. You can stomp around in cemeteries and get a lot of information.

I've said before I don't have a clue who Meley/Millie Wofford's father is, I'm just pretty dang sure it's not Nathaniel Wofford b. ca. 1766. And I'm sure my Nathaniel b. 1770 wasn't her father.

One person years ago, stated that my Nathaniel and your Nathaniel were one and the same person. They then without one bit of proof of anything started putting it on the web, and sending it to any Wofford descendant. Then this person seems to have disappeared, as this person hasn't responded to any messages, emails, etc. for at least 15 yrs or longer. Meanwhile, this information is still being sent around, and again, no one has any proof whatsoever that any of it is factual. And people without doing any research themselves accept it as fact and get mad at anyone who says it's not true. It's a lot more exciting to make a man a cad, leaving a wife and a house full of kids and taking off with an Indian girl, having babies by her, then leaving her and taking off with another Indian girl and having babies by her. and making him a private in the Army when he's in his mid 70's, when he had been a Major in another skirmish/war many years before.

If you want the information you can send to GA Archives and request it. Or you can send for the information to SC archives. Or you can go to cemeteries, and search, or you can spend thousands of hours on Ancestry, Fold, GenForum etc. and find it yourself.

I share with people who I trust and they share with me. Several of us have worked for years, spent a lot of money, etc. to find proof. Others can do the same thing if they want to know the truth.

I did include information and where it can be found, in other posts.
