      <description>Leo J. Wohlever Jr., 83, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin, Ohio following a lengthy illness. He was born in Elyria, Ohio (Lorain County) on November 8, 1928 and had been a resident of North Ridgeville, Ohio for most of his life.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Leo served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army in the Korean war , and was a 61 year member of Laborers Union Local 310, retiring in 1986.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He was a member of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville, OH. &lt;br&gt;Leo enjoyed gardening, junk collecting, long walks by Lake Erie, and Sunday drives, especially down to Amish country with his family.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Wohlever of Huntington Township; and son, Norm of North Ridgeville; and sisters, Marian Malone and Teresa Vessalo, both of North Ridgeville.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, in 2010, after 56 years of marriage; parents, Leo J. Sr. and Gertrude (nee Justin) Wohlever; brothers, James, Charles and Joseph Wohlever; sisters, Catherine Barnard, Ruth Becker, Mary Lanzer and Irene Klingshirn; and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Wohlever.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Friends may call Sunday, August 19, 2012, from 2 until 5 P.M., in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. &lt;br&gt; 10 A.M.
