Carolyn, I posted a reply on the background of the Wojciechowski line that I know of for you to review in a response to another post in this thread. Is there a tie in there? As for the Grudewicz....my great grandmother Frances (nee Wojciechowski) married a Walter Gruczewicz in Warsaw Poland I believe. They immigrated here in the early 1900's. Walter came first and stayed with his sister-in-law Mary Kowaleski in Waukegan, IL. Then Frances came with Walter's mom Frances (nee Hartman) and her children, Mary, Michaelina, and Walter Jr., they had a child in the US, Stella. They lived in North Hammond. Walter Sr. died in 1910. His mother Frances returned to Poland. Stella was adopted by my G-grandmother's sister Ann Gapszewicz. Mary married into the Payonk family, Michaelina (my grandmother)married a John Baron and they lived in IL and Hammond, IN., Walter Jr. I do not know if he ever married or not and had any children, he lived in IL. So to the best of my knowledge, the only Gruczewicz's in the US that are related to me would be Walter Jr's children if he had any and I have no information on that. The only other Gruczewicz relatives I would have here would be if Walter Sr's family (that I have no information about) immigrated to the US as well. Let me know if any of this ties into you lines.
