WEST BRANCH, Iowa -- Alice B. Wolf, 89, of 204 Cookson Dr., formerly of West Liberty, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a short illness.
Memorial services will be held at the First Church United in West Liberty. The Rev. Al Zimmerman will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. The Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wolf was born June 12, 1911, in West Liberty, the daughter of John C. and Rozella Nichols Wolf. She was a graduate of West Liberty High School and later attended Cedar Rapids Business School.
She was employed with the Alaska Railroad as an accountant for several years.
She lived in California from 1964 until 1995, then moved to Phoenix, Ariz., before returning to West Branch in 1998.
She was a member of Eastern Star and Amaranth, and El Montecito Presbyterian Church in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Carol Wolf of West Liberty, Margaret Wolfe of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Esther Wolfe of Anchorage, Alaska; six nephews and 11 nieces.
She was preceded in death by 10 brothers, Ralph, Wade, Clark, Kenneth, Ivan, Howard, Raymond, Robert, Keith and Kermit Wolf and two nephews.
