Surnames: Womac, Womack, Carter
My deceased uncle had in his possession a photo of the tombstone of my great uncle's father. Inscribed is: JOHN WOMAC, JR.; Co.L; 13 KY, CAV. There is no date on the stone. On the back, written by one of John's grandsons is: "My mother's grave is also there and some other aunts. If you ever get down there ask for the Milton Bagby, RR-1. It is on their place." We believe this may be in Green Co, KY.

My great aunt, Berthy R (Rebecca) Carter (dau. of William Calvin Carter and Cornelia Forbis), was this grandson's mother, but I do not know his given name, only that his surname was Womac/Womack.

Another photo with the same handwriting on the back, was of a house and the note said "This is the old place that I played as a boy. Our place burned down. It is now the Green River Ranch. Over 500 cattle."

Please contact me if you know anything about John, the cemetery where his grave is located or have info on the family. Thanks.
