If you look in the 1850 census of Coffee Co, AL, you will find 15-year-old Miles Wood living in the home of his future brother-in-law, Andrew Hardy. Your Woods kids are just a house or two down. I believe Miles is the forgotten oldest of the Wood kids. He was b. 1835 SC. I think he was forgotten because he is the only one that did not stay with Nicy's family. He died at Elmire Prison Camp in the Civil War. His wife moved with their only child to Florida with her family. I would love to find out more about this family. I have seen Freeman listed as being from Highlands, Scotland, but the highlands are a large area, not a city. You can email me at dsisaza@bellsouth.net..
