Surnames: Wood, McConnell, Richmond
Found an Anna Wood living with her sister Evelyn Macconnell and her brother Earl Richmond. They are living in South Portland Maine according to the 1940 census. Anna is listed as married.

I found a Elizabeth A Richmond on the 1930 census living in Middletown, Middlesex Co., Connecticut. She is shown as being single and an employee. She is working for the Connecticut State Hospital for the insane.

I also found her in 1920 with her parents in Maine. His name is Ralph Fay Richmond.

All this tells us is Anna had at least two children. Anna is single in 1930 but her oldest child, Geraldine, is 8 years old. So Wlliam and Anna were married between 1930 and 1932. No doubt that they were married as the Army would not allow William not to be married to Anna and have children and live on a military base. The 1940 Census lists Anna as living in Fort Belvoir VA in 1935.

You can probably find out if a Captain William Wood was stationed at Fort Belvoir VA between 1932 and 1936.

Good luck with your search.
