I'm looking for the Wood family who would have in the southern/southwest region of Louisiana I believe (one of the surrounding parishes where French was a common language). I know they had a daughter who was of French and Indian descent. Her name may have been Katherine Sandrine Wood. Katherine may have been born in the mid-1800s. I believe her daughter is Josephine Wood (married name Daniel). Josephine was born between 1877-1891. I also know there is an Eva wood, whom I was told is Katherine's sister, but she may just be closely related in some other way. I don’t know if both of Katherine’s parents spoke French, but one of them definitely did as it passed down through the generations. I am attaching a photo of Katherine Sandrine Wood, which would have been taken sometime in the latter half of the 1800s. Thank you for any information regarding this family!
