Hello, I was researching Stoffel on Genealogybank.com and came across an article about the ex-Countess. She was arrested in Denver after a car crash in which 2 were seriously injured and 7 others were hurt. There were 2 quarts of Prohibition Gin in the car. It was her car, Mr. Woods had died, and she was in the company of Dr.H.M. Jackson. He was charged with reckless driving. The article said when she was the Countess of Stoffel she lived in an impressive castle at Lago Maggiore (sp? ) This was printed in the Omaha World Herald on June 8, 1923.
