I was born in 1947 in Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. I was not adopted but surrendered to a babysitter. My mother Margaret Isabel WOOD born March 1, 1928 left Toronto with her sister Dorothy Gertrude WOOD born April 1924 and went to California...Dorothy was married to a Scharf and the SSDI states her as dying in 1999. xx953 US consolate, Canada. Her last known address was Fullerton, California. I hired a researcher and she did not die in California as there is no death cert registered with California Vital Stats and no Obit. there is also George WOOD of Oakville, Ontario a brother and Edward "Ted" James WOOD of Schomberg, Ontario. a brother to my mother as well. Edward "Ted" WOOD died in Schomberg and I need his Obit...perhaps it will tell me where his sister...my mother is. His wife's first name is May, they had 3 children...Jimmie who died at 18 years of age with Leukemia and 2 girls. Their parents (my grandparents were) Edward James WOOD born in Parry Sound, Ontario in 1901. and Bessie Gertrude PERRIN( married to WOOD, POPE, WADDINGTON) born Jan 1, 1903-4 in Toronto, Ontario. After my mother and her sister left for California no one heard of them. The cousins know nothing about what happened to the two sisters.....but then they are younger than me. I would hire someone to help me but I live in Alberta and do not know any trust worthy person in California. I need someone with the ability to track Social Insurance Cards, US pension, License bureau for California etc....if she is even still in California or alive......Any and all help gratefully accepted.....with gratitute....Chris from Alberta
