My great-grandfather was William James Woodell, born 1830 in Robeson Co., NC. His father was named John, mother may be Elizabeth Inman--these people were married in 1827 in Robeson Co. Any information about the Woodell family roots in North Carolina and Virginia appreciated. There may be a Lumbee Indian connection.
