I am trying to locate information on my grandfather Arthur John Woodford born June 6, 1877, Rookley, IOW. He married Jane Cook in Camberwell, London. His parents were Robert William Woodford and Emma Phillips who were married in Chale, IOW 1860. Arthur John disappeared some time after l916. At that time he was a private in the Royal Fusiliers. I believe the father of Robert William Woodford was Isaac Woodford, also of IOW. Particularly anxious to discover place and date of death.
