Timothy was my grandfather. We have no real documentation of his birth or parentage. Reported that he was born in San Jose, Santa Clara, California on Aug 7, 1881. He gave differing information on the origin of his progenitors, George Henry and Eliza Jane O'Brien Woodham, in each census. Sometimes he claimed George was from England, then France, then Baltimore.
He called himself the black sheep of his family and said he ran away at an early age and never kept in touch with his family after that. He said he was from a large Catholic family, was a merchant marine, was homesteading land possibly in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. We know he married Goldie Agnes Reed in Missouri and they moved all over the USA, settling in Paradise and then Chico California in their older years. We're trying to discover the truth so we can trace our family line. Does any of these stories ring a bell with anyone? Would appreciate any information or possible leads.
