Wood/My Wood/ Woods came to KS. from Mo.and I don't know if they came up from AR., but according to the 1910 Federal Census,MO. my ggrandfather was born in IN.. and I found an Frank Wood/s in 1860 in Harrison Co., IN. with 4 or 5 other people anthe age fits. But this is what I have now and need help, it will be greatly appreicated,

My name is Carl Woods and I'm trying to find my line of Woods, and know very little about them. Frank Wood b. abt. 1839 in IN., m. Mary Susan "Susie" Hensleigh or Hensley b. July 10. 1846 in MO. and according to the 1910 Federal Census there was ten children, but only seven was still living. It only had Frank & Susie, Benjamin H. Woods19, and Ruth M. Hatton or Harton 6 it's hard to make out the spelling , she was an granddaugther. This was in Clay Co., MO. on Liberty Road , at Smithville, MO.. Benjamin is my grandfather and don't know anything about him, just very little.
But I do know that he has brothers, William "Bill" James Woods b. Aug. 6,1886-Oct. 23,1944, m. Vera Kathleen Kline and they had a son Russell Kline Woods b. Aug. 16, 1918- Aug. 4,1981, daughter Katherine E. Woods b.Dec. 28,1919- March 1999,and Ida Berniece B. 1921.
Then back to Benjamin's brothers, there's Harry and his wife Mary, there's Henry Woods. oh! Russell"s wife was Mae Louise Williamson b.May 18,1920-Aug.4,1981.
I have just found a cousin and she said something about an Ella Mae, oh and Harry is the one that signed Mary Susan "Susie" Death Cert.
I just hope that you can help me out, cause this side of the was never talk about and it seems like an big brick to break through. When I was a kid ,my said that he could go to Kansas City and stay with family for 1 or 2 days for 1 1/2 month's and never stay at the same place twice, but ha never said what the names was.
You can contact me at awlrac@sunflower.com and thank you.
