I am trying to trace my ancestry back from my great-grandfather, James J. Woods, born Apr 1946 in Castlblayney, Co. Monaghan. His parents may have been Peter Woods and Annie McManus. He came to America in 1870. He may also have had a brother, Terence, born May 1848, as they lived next door to each other, first on Kater Street, and then 1420 & 1422 South Street in Philadelphia, PA. Terence was a blacksmith. In 1900 their neice, Bridget "Bridgie" Woods, born 25 Oct 1882 or 1884 came to Philadelphia from Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. She married Patrick Burns in 1906 and her DOD was 28 Dec 1973. Bridgie's parents were Thomas Woods and Mary Murta/Murtagh. Thank you for any information you may be able to provide.
