Hello,
I'm looking for information on Chester Woolner, head of household, born 1844 in England. Mother and Father are both of England. Wife is Rachel from PEI, born 1850, father from England. Children: Harry, born June 1880 in Illinois, Mary M born July 1881.
Also found: Chester Woolner b 5 April 1843, christened 31 Jan 1844 in Shoreditch London, England. I'm assuming these are the same person "Chester".
Chester's father was Richard Chester; mother Elizabeth, possbily married in Sept 1842 in Islington, Middlesex London England (familysearch.org).
I'm stuck on Richard Chester. I found a Chester Woolner b. 1818, but after further research I think this is a Robert Chester, with parents of Robert Forster and Sarah Sally Kemp. This Robert Chester was married to Margaret MacNeill and had a James Chester, but he was born in PEI, not England as all other information on my Chester points to.
I think he (and family?) immigrated to Prince Edward Island sometime before 1880, married and then moved to Illinois.
Can anyone point me towards Richard Chester?
Thanks! Cindy Woolner
