Mary Lynn Hartstein Worden, 51, of Box 523, Avis, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at her home.

Born April 12, 1957 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Robert Hartstein Sr. and the former Levonne Lucas.

She is survived by her husband, David E. Worden. They were united in marriage July 20, 1984.

Mary was a mother to many and her door was always open to everyone. She loved animals and enjoyed gardening.

Also surviving are her mother of Lancaster; a son, David A. Worden of Williamsport; a daughter, Leda C. Karstetter of Avis; two grandchildren, Marissa Karstetter and Aiden Worden; three brothers, Roger Hartstein of Lancaster, Roy Hartstein of San Diego, Calif., and Randy Hartstein of Lancaster; and four sisters, Lorene Lockcuff of Larryville, Sharon Hartstein of San Diego, Calif., Tina Colmonero of San Diego, Calif., and Kathleen Hartstein of Lancaster. Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hartstein.

Funeral services will be Wednesday evening, Feb. 18, 2009 at 8 p.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 p.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. The Rev. David McCoy will officiate.
