Lorenzo Dow was a Methodist Minister and apparently had a lot of children named after him. Mostly the children of people who he had married or who had attended one of his crusades. There is a lot of info about him on the internet. One interesting page is http://members.aol.com/franklogue/Dow.html

His name is probably Theodore Roosevelt Worlds. That is interesting thing about my family. Most of the men have the names of famous people like George Washington Worrell, Lorenzo Dow Worrell, Daniel Webster Worrell, etc.

my maiden name is worlds and i am from N.J. always wondered about my last name.my mother told me that the spelling of the name changed to worlds her father who is now past away told her this his name was THEODORE R. WORLDS any info please forward.

Worlds and Clark Families in Jefferson County Florida in 1800s

Seeking info on Andrew J. Worlds who had a daughter named Nancy who married James Clark. It is known that the Clark famiy had Jefferson County connections but is only assumed that the Worlds family did also.It is thought that Nancy Worlds and James Clark had a son named Andrew J.named for her father. It is also thought that Andrew J. Worlds was born before 1830 and Nancy about 1850.Any info appreciated...Ed King
